MJS Communications is a media relations brand that provides brand development & PR services to help brands tell their story clearly to their audience and build positive relationships with their media community.

MJS Communications has worked with non-profit and faith-based organizations, authors, and those in the food and hospitality industry. Results from working with MJS Communications include becoming an award-winning international selling author, having top-donation generating events, getting their own day in the city for their outreach work, being featured in industry-related magazines and digital platforms such as Medium, and local news publications like Fox and ABC news affiliates.

As the BrandCEO and Chief Publicist, Tonya Franklin brings to the table over 20 years combined of professional storytelling, content creation, marketing, and strategy development experience to help clients because she knows that running a small business is challenging and what it's like to have a great story without a huge budget to get the desired results. She uses her experience and resources to professionally craft the story, image, and media relationship that clients deserve. She has been featured as a panelist with the #1 branding and marketing firm for Black entrepreneurs: the BlackCEO, in Pretty Women Hustle magazine, and has served as a thought leader on various entrepreneurial conference platforms that include VA World Conference and Black Business Minded Women Accelerate.

What do We Do
Our mission is to amplify the brand awareness of small businesses through media exposure and use marketing strategies to transform that exposure to revenue opportunities.
We are about serving smaller brands that may not have a solid following, strong media relationships, or be able to handle publicity on their own. We're about helping to build the public relations foundation and achieve the marketing goals that align with achieving financial goals.
